PEMF BUYING GUIDE AND COMPARISON:
Note: for patients seeking PEMF
There are places that are charging 120 dollars a session. If you are going to pay the premium rate make sure you are using a high end PEMF machine. Contact me so I can tell you which places in your area have a strong enough machine.
Inflated Prices - warning to new customers:
Almost everyone looking for a Pemf machine will see from each manufacturer lower priced and higher priced Pemf machines. It is hard not to want a higher end machine based on the power they have.
Many people are being scammed by buying Pemf machines that should be lower priced but shady companies mark them up way more than they should. I urge people to investigate Peak power vs constant power and input power vs output power. By knowing how to really compare Pemf machines it is less likely people will overpay.
Things to know before buying a Pemf machine
1. Know the highest (constant rate) intensity. If the machine doesn't have enough power many people will outgrow it and it might not raise the body voltage like people are wanting.
2. Know which wave types (frequencies) the Pemf generator is giving. Most have the same wavelength that the cheaper generators make but some offer harder to produce waves that require more sophisticated components. Solid state machines have a different feel with each of these wavelengths.
3. Know what type of coils the Pemf device is using. Some are made with 100% pure copper and others are made with different metal alloys.
4. Know if the Pemf machine is FDA registered. Some are not. Actually most are not. Those are usually the imports and are the really cheap ones.
5. Know what the warranty really covers. So many people buy Pemf machines but don't fully read the warranty.
6. Know if the Pemf machine has single or alternating polarity.
7. Find out what type of support the company will give you once you get the machine and have lots of questions. Many companies just refer you to the manual and won't answer personalized questions. People are paying 10's of thousands for some of these machine and they won't answer your questions. I understand if it is a medical question but some companies have doctors on staff to answer.
Note: Almost all the Pemf machines do the same thing but if it is not powerful enough it will only minimally put a charge in the cells. They can get a way with saying it can improve the blood supply to the tissues but really, how much. Those machines using AA batteries also make the same claims.
The company's that offer really powerful Pemf machines, especially the solid state types should help train people on finding just the right pulse speed and wave type. They are the ones that supposedly have all the testimonials and have done trials. Some of the Pemf machines are easy to use and have just a few buttons while others are much more difficult to use.
Company Support: Some websites selling PEMF machines have some free ebook form and have hundreds of these sites to make them easy to find. They have no phone number which is a big red flag. They only have an email. Some have a chat but I'd stay away from any company that doesn't have a real number.
Warning: Know where your Pemf machine will be serviced. If it is out of the country, some times problems can occur. Usually those using medical grade components which are easy to tell when I open up the machine and see what type of components the Pemf machine has are not the ones that get imported out of the country to fix. The medical grade types are the most durable and don't lose power over the years like the lower grade models.
Pemf Machine Pricing: Some machines come with training. I am talking about the type where they will fly down and train a doctor for 2 or 3 days in their office and stay in a hotel. The flight and their time is all included in the price. If someone already has a Pemf machine and doesn't need training, I believe they should have the option of reducing the price. I know for insurance purposes some manufacturers have to claim their customer was trained. Some doctors are just upgrading and its not fair to add thousands of dollars for training when they already know how to use it.
Timers: I urge anyone buying a really powerful Pemf machine to make sure their machine has a timer. Some machines have on and off buttons and don't have the built in timer. If someone falls asleep the Pemf machine will stay on the entire time until they wake up.
Warranty Period:
I do not promote any PEMF machine that has less than a 2 year warranty period. The better companies I work with have longer extended warranties. If they don't have this it usually means their machine is gonna break down. These small warranty companies usually haven't been in business long also. The machines that don't have these are usually don't last long.
I have reviewed different types of Pemf generators and taken apart many mats. I know which ones inflate their prices and which really use the components that justify their prices. So many people don't have the ability to take apart the machines and know how to review them. I can help make a recommendation based on the answers you give on my quiz. Take my Pemf Quiz and I will recommend a Pemf generator or mat based on your anwers. Take the quiz here.
I have found that the easiest way to conceptualize the Pemf industry is by breaking it down into a tiered rating system.
About 90% of customers end up purchasing a Pemf machine from Tier 2 level. The rest choose a Tier 1 or Tier 3. Tier 2 is composed of companies that use very confusing marketing for their brands. The reason is because 90% of those brands in this tier are actually “Re-brands” coming from the same few manufacturers in China. So these brands are almost identical to one another and so each company just makes up claims and marketing hype to appear different than their competition.
For this reason I have divided up Tier 2 into two sub levels, A and B. The lower the tier the more drawbacks it has versus benefits. So Tier 2B would have maybe a limited warranty for example versus a Brand from Tier 2A.
Rating System based off the following:
Warranty, Standard vs Solid state components, How Clean the materials (off gassing chemicals), Power rating/fluence rating of the coils for electrical output, Generation of Pemf, EMF level, Cold Spots, Deliverance of joule in nanoseconds, and Customer Service. If you want specific information on each brand and how it rates on each of these categories please ask.
Tier 1:
A -- IMRs Hybrid, QRS 101.S, Centropix Kloud, (These have the most intense fluence, lowest electro-smog, and frequency range).
Tier 2:
A --Magnapulse, PEMF 8000, Magnawave, Sentient Light
B --PER 2000, E Pulse Magnetics
Tier 3:
Maggie, OMI Mat,
(90% of PEMF machines are re-brands from same four manufacturers in China and most machines fall into this Tier)
NOTE: I tell people 98% of the health benefits of being in a Pemf are not related to a high powered machine.
